ABOUT MARK THE AIRSOFT PRIMATE

I mainly play at  D14 Airsoft in Sanger, TX. I absolutely love this field. I've also played at JTC Tactical in Beggs OK, OK and Giant Party Sports in Plano, TX.

I started in 2019. I was a member of Title Boxing Club but the membership fee was getting too pricey, so I found airsoft, which is actually worse for my wallet.

I love it because it's a great way to get in shape. I've lost a bunch of weight thanks to airsoft and I'm still unable to keep up with all the younguns out there on the field.

I also love it because of all the friends I've made, and I have a desperate and unhealthy need for competition. Yes, I get a little cranky pants when my team loses.

Yes. I love AEGs, HPA and GBBRs equally.

Each platform does have their drawbacks, here's a few of them:

• AEG: Batteries/gearbox dying, gearbox can be challenging to work on
• HPA: Running a line, extra weight of the tank, extra cost for air, running out of air
• GBBR: Remembering to clean and lube the bolt thoroughly, price of green gas, green gas mags are expensive

Maybe about 75% of my stuff comes from Airsoft GI, they do have the BEST mystery boxes, I've checked. I also buy stuff from Evike, Amped Airsoft, Amazon (for cheap accessories) and other stores if GI doesn't have what I'm looking for.

Clothes.

I'm dirt's uncle.

When I know I'm going to play, I usually prep 2-4 days before gameday, which includes deciding what airsoft guns to run, clothing, gear, food, water, snacks, etc.

Also, I try to stay as hydrated as possible every day so I don't have to drown myself in water the day before.

The night before, I pack everything I need and quadruple check to make sure I don't miss anything. I always miss something.

I have a dayjob and airsoft doesn't pay me...yet.
